摘要

The results of experiments to determine the lateral/directional dynamic stability characteristics of a quad configuration, ducted-propeller V/STOL aircraft at four low-speed/high-duct-incidence trim conditions (id = 80, 70, 60, and 50 deg) are presented. Lateral/directional transient responses in various degrees of freedom were measured using a dynamic model. The data presented include time histories of the model motions in various lateral/directional degrees of freedom that occur when the model is disturbed from trimmed flight. The dynamic model employed in these experiments is a generalized research model arranged to represent closely the Bell X-22A V/STOL aircraft. (Author)
