A Digital Flueric Compensator for Analog Fluid Systems

摘要

A digital pulse compensation technique is developed for analog control systems. The scheme employs pulse width modulation to convert analog error signals into discrete signals and compensation is achieved by adding one or more pulses to this discrete error signal. The digital compensation pulses are used directly as an input to the process, as no digital to analog conversion is required. A flueric compensator of this type is implemented and the experimentally measured performance is compared to analytically predicted behavior. Computer simulation is also used to verify compensator performance. Design guides for compensator specifications and other analytical tools needed for analysis and synthesis are developed. (Author)
