A six-degree-of-freedom systems simulation has been developed, utilizing the basic work reported by Litton Industries in 1965. The simulation, designated MOD6DF Systems Simulation, accurately describes the entire system over a wide range of conditions. The development has been performed in modular form to produce both flexibility and generality (or ease of adaptation) as well as the ability to produce simulation to whatever level that is required for accuracy. A comparison of results of this simulation with those of other simulations has shown excellent agreement as well as accuracy. Additional refinements would further improve the simulation and hence the accuracy. The arrangement and the capability of this simulation will permit ready adaptation to more complex systems or even combinations of systems. Such systems might well be missiles, delivery aircraft, and target (ground, water or air). In addition, the system is capable of adaptation to any combination of the above systems. (Author)
