摘要

Fire climate is affected by temperature,humidity, windspeed,precipitation,and cloud cover. In Southeast Asia,the two major factors are rainfall and cloud cover. The scope of this study was to determine when,how long,and by what mechanism the normally dry period in SEA is interrupted by rain and clouds. The report investigates the origins,frequency,persistence,dissipation,dynamics and kinematics,and the associated fire climate of the synoptic-scale disturbance. (Author)
