A problem on the simultaneous examination of the cloud cover and radiation fields is presented. The techniques of flight experiments and processing of results of measured reflected shortwave radiation from different underlying surfaces and cloud formations is described using vertical aerial photography. The angular distribution of the luminance factor as well as the intensity of reflected radiation is presented in relationship with the properties of the characteristics of the underlying surface and the spatial structure of various cloud forms.
