The quality of grease to protect against corrosion can be tested in the following way. Cover the metallic surface with a layer 0.05-1mm thick of the tested grease and treat the surface with a 3% sodium chloride solution. The degree of corrosion taking place is indicated by an instrument connected to the metallic surface and measuring the corrosive current. (Author)
