Submarine Sonar Array Study

摘要

A method of reducing hardware requirements for adaptive sonar beamforming, by grouping the hydrophones into sub-arrays and optimally filtering the outputs of the sub-arrays, is described and favorably evaluated. A method of improving display quality, by using hydrophone locations forming an irregular pattern, is illustrated by means of beam pattern comparisons and shown to be effective. (Author)
