Ion Radicals of Organic Sulfur, Selenium Tellurium and Phosphorus Compounds

The report summarizes work on the chemistry of cation radicals, charge-transfer spectroscopy and anion/radicals of Group IIIA organometallic compounds. In particular it describes (a) the mechanism of reaction of thianthrene cation radical with water and aromatics, (b) charge-transfer spectroscopy in the pyridine-TCNE systems, (c) charge transfer between thianthrene and iodine bromide, (d) the reaction of tri-1-naphthylboron with sodium and sodium amalgam.
