Results are presented of an investigation on the effects of strain rate on three titanium-alloy sheet materials before and after prolonged exposure without stress at 550 degrees F (561 degrees K). The strain-rate sensitivity of the three alloys, Ti-8Al-lMo-1V, Ti-4Al-3Mo-1V, and Ti-6Al-4V, was determined from the results of tensile tests performed at three strain rates on smooth and V-notched specimens.
