The manual provides operating personnel with the information necessary to set up and in general to execute whatever tasks are required to produce the expected output of the ITDS. Information contained herein is sufficient to permit intelligent decisions to be made in cases where options may exist, permit correct decisions to be made in the event of programmed halts, and provide continuity of operation from run to run, and in some cases from operator to operator. The manual contains: a general overview of the ITDS; the ITDS Computer Service Request Form and a Description of its usage; operator procedures for batch and remote terminal use; references to specific operating system publications; and, a summary of operator-related security procedures.
