Progress in the Solution of the Problem of a Three-Dimensional Body Oscillating in the Presence of a Free Surface

The report presents formulas for the rapid evaluation of the potential and potential gradient due to an oscillating point source near a free surface. Also presented are expressions that represent the integrals of these formulas over a general plane quadrilateral. These expressions could form the basis of a computer program for solving the title problem, and the general features of such a method of solution are outlined. (Author)
