A method is presented for the determination of serum lipid phosphorus by calculation of the difference between total serum phosphorus and inorganic phosphorus. The method eliminates the necessity for preliminary isolation of lipid phosphorus. Manual procedures used in validating the method are given. The method can be completely automated. (Author)
