A Device for Pulse-Phase Modulation

The Authors Certificate describes a device for pulse phase modulation. The device is designed in the form of a pentode while operating in a limited mode, and possesses a diode damped circuit as the plate load. In order to expand the linear segment of the modulation characteristic, the modulating voltage is selected with a frequency which is a multiple of the repetition frequency of the pulses to be achieved. Blanking of the excess pulses are employed.
