The compounds 3-tetracyclo(3.3.0.0.(2,8).0(4,6))octane, 3-tetracyclo(3.3.1.0.(2,8).0(4,6))nonane, 8-bicyclo(3.2.1)oct-2-ene, 8-bicyclo(3.3.0)oct-2-ene, 3-tricyclo(3.3.0.0(2,8))octane and 3-bicyclo(3.2.1)oct-6-ene were examined. In addition, the chemical and physical properties of a wide variety of 3-substituted tetracyclo(3.3.0.0.(2,8).0(4,6)) octanyl derivations were explored. (Author)
