摘要

The effect of controlled atmosphere system on the shelf life of lettuce was evaluated. Lettuce stored under oxygen levels ranging from 3 to 5.8 percent and temperatures from 34 to 36F for 2 to 7 weeks gave significantly higher edible yield and showed higher mean scores for overall quality than lettuce stored under normal atmosphere at similar temperatures.
