Evaluation of Plastic Versus Steel for Buoy Hulls

The report gives an evaluation of plastic versus steel as a buoy hull material. Included is information on operating and cost, servicing vessels of all types, observation of sea tests on plastic buoys, and plastic buoy manufacturering. From the information assembled the technical, operational, and economic advantages and disadvantages of plastic and steel buoys were compared.
