Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Face Net Impregnant ENT-20573-BGB, 2-((P-Methoxybenzyl) oxy)-N, N-Dipropylacetamide

The candidate face net impregnant, 2-((p-methoxybenzyl)oxy)-N,N-dipropylacetamide, ENT-20573-bGb, presents no acute vapor inhalation hazard when used in a test program as described in Section IB, para 3 of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of the Army, Office of The Surgeon General; the Armed Forces Pest Control Board; and the US Department of Agriculture effective 25 July 1967. There is no indication primary skin irritation will result from handling the technical grade compound, but eye protection should be worn. Preliminary screening data indicate little hazard from acute accidental ingestion. It is recommended that ENT-20573-bGb be approved for testing under the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding. While this compound is in a research and development stage, personnel exposed to the technical grade chemical should be under medical surveillance until such time that more definitive toxicologic data are available.
