Metals and Alloys Containing Dispersed Inclusions of Refractory Compounds and Fibers

The work studies the introduction of dispersed inclusions of refractory compounds in metals and alloys to considerably strengthen the mechanical properties of the metal base. Three areas are dealt with in particular: (1) development of methods of obtaining dispersion-hardened materials (internal oxidation, selective reduction and others), (2) investigation of dispersion-hardened materials, including the most important question of the stability of the hardening phase and study of the mechanism of influence of dispersed inclusions on properties of the materials, (3) study of metals and alloys containing fiber.
