Lubricant for Hot Working of Metals

The invention involves a lubricant for hot machining of metals. The lubricant has an aqueous graphite suspension base, secondary alkyl sulfates, carbonates and formates. For greater effectiveness, calcium salts with an addition of mineral oil are suggested to serve as the carbonates and formates. The lubricant's component ratio is set as follows: 20-28 percent calcium carbonate, 22-30 percent calcium formate, 25 percent graphite, 5 percent secondary alkyl sulfate, 3 percent mineral oil, and 17 percent water.
