摘要

The investigation is concerned with the effects of Ethyl Corporation's CI-2 smoke-abatement additive on a wide variety of superalloys and superalloy coating systems relative to deposit accumulations and hot-corrosion attack. In general CI-2 in the fuel tended to increase hot corrosion of bare superalloys and tended to decrease hot corrosion of coated superalloys. For all turbine-blade materials, CI-2 in the fuel was found to increase deposit accumulations seriously. These data indicate that the use of this additive on a continuous or extended basis could reduce engine performance. (Author)
