Determination of the Structure of the Atmosphere Between 90 And 250 Kilometers Using Contaminant Releases. I. Woomera, May 1968

The paper presents the results of the analysis of contaminant releases made from two Skylark rockets fired on the morning and evening of 31st May, 1968. The wind profile, turbulent structure, temperature, and density of the atmosphere were determined. The significance of the results is discussed, in particular the diurnal variation. Some comments are made relating our observations to previous results - both of other workers and our own. (Author)
