摘要

Passive N2-CO2-He-Xe laser cells are used to study changes in the gas composition in sealed-off systems as indicated by their spectral emission in the visible region. The spectra show the appearance and then gradual disappearance of CO bands, an increase in intensity of the first positive system of N2 in relationship to the second positive system and, finally, the complete disappearance of all band structures with only the spectral lines of Xe remaining. Data are obtained that can be of use for the extension of the lifetime of active laser tubes. (Author)
