A short review of recent accomplishments in the general area of nonlinear oscillatory phenomena is presented. Scientists from 17 nations met in the USSR to exchange ideas on the theoretical background and practical tools that appear attractive in the analysis of nonlinear processes. Current status, recent progress, and evolving trends are discussed as reflected by the proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Nonlinear Oscillations held in Kiev, August-September 1969.
