摘要

Increasing particle density and temperature can be observed during the decay of a pulsed,electrodeless discharge. Responsible for this effect are electrostatic waves,excited by interactions of beams of charged particles with the decaying plasma. Under certain discharge conditions a convective instability occurs. Two diagnostic methods are employed to investigate this instationary high-temperature plasma. A double-probe technique based on sampling methods gives excellent time and spatially resolved results although this method is rather complicated and only seldom employed in case of high-voltage discharges. Maximum dischatge voltage is restricted to 35KV. (Author)
