Health Hazard Potential from Pre-Polymerized Foam Packaging Materials

Described is a test to determine the relative health hazard of two proposed foam packaging formulations. One contained toluene, 2-2, 4, di-isocyanate (TDI) and the other polymethylene di-isocyanate (MDI). From a laboratory model, quantitative information was obtained on the rate of evaporation and maximum probable exposure to be expected in actual use of the materials. (Author)
