An Investigation of the Long Range Position Determining System (LRPDS) by Digital Simulation Methods

The Long Range Position Determination System (LRPDS) was investigated by digital simulation techniques. The investigation consisted of comparing the Range Change approach to the LRPDS with the Two-Way Ranging Approach. In addition the problem of implementing a programming system to reduce the data on a field computer was considered and specific recommendations made for the structure of the program and the configuration of the computer.
