Certain Problems of the State and Development of High-Speed Stereoscopic Filming

A method was devised of high-speed steroscopic filming using two AKS-2 cameras mounted on a shaft, providing a base up to 2 m. These, in turn, were mounted on a special support attached to a stand. Frame frequency was 100 frames per second during an exposure time of 1/1000 of a second. A method of 'pulse frequencies', for synchronization is reviewed. For higher-frequency filming, the authors suggest a pair of SFR-L cameras synchronized using an automatic tracking system. The authors also describe a stero filming technique by splitting the frame, and another without doing so, using the principle of optical commutation of the image.
