摘要

The patent concerns the development of polymers consisting mainly of liquids in one single phase with viscosities exceeding 10,000centipoises. They are formed of patterns whose chain lengths exceed at least 1000molecules per chain;this liquid comprising essentially of the derivative of a metal oxide whose aqueous oxides are acid. The liquid is analytically equivalent to the oxide of a metal with the general formula MO2or M2O3and one part of the carboxylic acid radical. The molecular ration of the metallic oxide to the carboxylic acid radical is between 4:1and 2:1with MO2and 8:1and 2:1with M2O3. The polymers contain a minor share of a metal oxide of the general formula MO. The acid radical is the formic radical or the acetic radical. The polymer is expanded by means of an amount of alcoyl-carboxylic acid which is insufficient for the depolymerization of the resulting product. (Author)
