摘要

Several aluminum-silicon base brazing filler metal compositions were developed that appear to exhibit significant improvements over existing commercial compositions. They braze in vacuum at temperatures lower than the flow temperatures of commercial brazing alloys, and have equal or better flowability. The lowest flow temperature for these alloys - 1020F - is about 50F lower than the generally accepted flow temperature of the Alcoa No. 718 (88 Al-12 Si, wt%) commercial alloy. (Author)
