Application of Photographic Extraction Techniques to Radiographic Nondestructive Testing

The objectives of the research were to define the merits and possible limitations of Aeronutronic's color derivation extraction process as applied to radiographs (CODE-R) and compare these data with conventional radiographic techniques. The results of the study show that Aeronutronic's technique has significant application in analysis of certain types of radiographs. Of particular note is the ability of CODE-R to illustrate flaws in parts that are typically difficult to inspect by conventional means.
