摘要

The superconducting transition temperature has been raised to 21 degrees K, the critical magnetic field to 415 kilogauss. Twelve new superconducting elements have been discovered, one third of all those known. Ferroelectricity and lattice instabilities have been found as a major obstacle to much higher transition temperatures. Two entirely new groups of superconducting compounds have been discovered. F-electron superconductivity has been detected making lanthanum superconducting above 12 degrees K, the highest of all elements. Two new theories have been published. (Author)
