摘要

Two general objectives were set forthat the beginning of the contract. The first concerned a study of the application of the parameter plane analysis technique to the analysis of rocket attitude control systems. In particular, it was desired to portray how domains of stability could be determined, how control system responses could be indicated, and how nonlinear characteristics of elements, such as rate gyroscopes and actuators which normally appear in missile hardware, might be incorporated in a stability analysis. This objective would culminate in a comparison of the resulting parameter plane techniques with conventional design techniques to seek out any possible advantages (and disadvantages) associated with employing the parameter plane method as a design technique.
