摘要

The data from a numerically simulated dynamic bilateral shear fracture was analyzed using Fourier spectral techniques. The holes in the amplitude spectrums of the velocity data in the near field are compared with an analytically calculated source time. The periods resulting from the holes in the amplitude spectrum correlate with the source time calculated from analytical considerations. The analysis of the near field velocties at an observation point can show at least part of the characteristics of the finite source. (Author)
