Study to Determine the Requirements for an Experimental Training Simulation System.

摘要

A study was performed to define an experimental system for the solution of human factors problems in training device design. Phase I identified training design problem areas through a review of tasks performed in military systems, and of the training implications of these tasks. Phase II identified equipment and software capable of supporting relevant experiments. Recommendations are made for an Experimental Training Simulation System for experimentation in (1) the design of trainee stations, (2) system fidelity requirements, (3) environmental simulation fidelity, (4) automated training, and (5) instructor station design. A five-year implementation plan is presented, for the procurement of modules to be employed independently, and in conjunction with each other as they are procured.
