A Method of Solution for Hydrodynamics and Radiation Diffusion as a Multi-Material Problem in One Dimension

The report discusses the implementation of a numerical system for the solution of hydrodynamics and radiation diffusion as a multi-material problem in one dimension. A parametric system with versions for PDP-10, CDC 6600 and CDC 7600 computers is developed in which the program parameters may be dynamically altered and studied as to their worth and effectiveness. The system is designed specifically for use within an interactive man-machine environment wherein the user becomes an integral part of the final solution. (Author)
