Investigations of Plastic Structures at Illinois Institute of Technology

The purpose of the two contracts was 'Investigations into the plastic response of structures under arbitrary loading.' These investigations were pursued in three general directions: basic theory, methods of solution, and applications. Results obtained have been fully presented in the reports listed in Appendix D; the remainder of the report is devoted to a brief review of the results obtained in these three categories. (Author)
