Prediction Calculations of Mine Under and Mine Ore

Mine Under and Mine Ore were two events of the high explosive Mine Shaft series sponsored by DASA. Each event was concerned with the detonation of a 100-ton sphere of TNT. The primary objectives were to study cratering, ejecta, and ground shock effects. Secondary objectives were the studies of air-blast effects, dust cloud physics, and the response of selected structures in the vicinity.
