Methods of Decomposition of Short Access into Teaching and Checking Sequences

A description of a method for dividing a set of sample images into teaching and checking sequences is given. Recommendations are given for selecting the coefficients determining the significance of the teaching and checking sequences on the basis of the statistical properties of the entire sample set. The method is applicable in various pattern recognition problems and its use is illustrated by a numerical example. (Author)
