Optical Identification of Radio-Sources Selected from the B2Catalog,

摘要

Two samples of radio-sources,statistically complete to 0.25and 0.90Flux Units at 408MHz is restricted areas,have been selected from the B2Survey to attempt their optical identification on the Palomar Sky Survey. More accurate declinations have been measured for all the 487radio-sources,using the Interferometer of the Owens Valley Radio Observatory. The accuracy of the final radio-positions is of the order of 6to 12arc sec. in R.A.,and 2.5to 20arc sec. in Dec. These positions have been located on the Palomar Sky Survey plates with an accuracy of 2arc sec. Identification is suggested for the total of 104radio-galaxies and 73quasi-stellar objects. Finding charts and reference star positions are provided for all the fields investigated. (Author)
