摘要

Enzyme activities were measured in serum and plasma from several mammalian species to determine which enzyme activities were altered by the clotting of whole blood. The six enzymes that were measured are lactic acid dehydrogenase (LDH), creatine phosphokinase (CPK), glutamate-oxalacetate transamines (GOT), glutamate pyruvate transaminase (GPT), alkaline phosphokinase, and acid phosphatase. All six enzyme activities were identical in serum and in plasma obtained from humans, and only LDH activity was slightly elevated in serum from baboons. However, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits had greatly increased activities in serum when compared to plasma for LDH, GOT, and acid phosphatase. The release of these enzymes from platelets during clotting appears to be the cause for the greater activity in serum. (Author)
