The objective of the work is to: Determine the feasibility of using large induction motors as induction generators; Work out the problems attendant with using engine generators and induction generators as improved or temporary sources of electric power during prolonged power outages; Prepare the manuscript for a guidance and procedures manual for utilizing emergency power sources.
