Study of Acquisition,Editing,Weighting and Reduction of Data from Computer Controlled Comparators.

摘要

Although automation has been applied in many phases of map production,automation in the initial phase of supplemental control generation using analytical methods has not received sufficient attention. Automated photogrammetric systems,which are essentially composed of a precision comparator and a digital computer,have recently become available. To exploit the potential capabilities of these instruments for data acquisition,certain fundamental computational factors must be considered. This research is concerned with some of the more important problems which need to be investigated for efficient employment of such automated equipment. These are methods of data reduction,selection of optimum measurement locations and quality control testing. (Author)
