摘要

The report describes a method of analysis for chromium in stainless steels by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Stainless steel samples are dissolved in a HCl-HNO3 mixture and then oxidized with perchloric acid. This solution is fumed until only perchloric acid is left, at this point it is diluted to a known volume and spectroanalyzed. Good agreement was obtained between certified values of NBS stainless steels and the analytical results.
