Modification of Shell 405 (Trade Name) Catalyst Test Catalyst Preparation

This report describes a study carried out for the development of a catalyst of the Shell 405 (Trade Name) type with improved durability to repeated cold starts using monopropellant hydrazine. Catalysts that differed from standard Shell 405 (Trade Name) Catalyst in respect to composition and properties of the support material and to the conditions of catalyst preparation, iridium content, and concentrations of certain normal trace impurities were prepared for testing.
