Design Study of Gas Turbine Generator Sets in 30 kW and 60 kW Sets

The optimum design 30 kW generator set reflecting the objectives of 1.7 lb/kW-hr specific fuel consumption and the need of a minimum engineering development program is established and described for 50/60 Hz and 400 Hz configurations. Engine design, generator, controls, starter, accessories, and package design tradeoffs are made and cost estimates developed for production quantities. Limited information is included for 60 kW generator sets and some data are developed for turboalternator designs. (Author)
