摘要

The study was undertaken with the principal objectives of elucidating the mechanical behavior of well-characterized polycrystalline beryllium as a function of pressure at room temperature in order to facilitate understanding of the factors controlling plastic flow and fracture under ambient conditions and to assist in optimizing the application of forming processes to this metal at high pressure, e.g. hydrostatic extrusion.
