Insertion Loss Synthesis of Some Lumped-Distributed Element Filters.

摘要

A synthesis technique has been devised to realize networks designed to operate between pure resistances which vary with frequency. The method essentially consists of the renormalization of a scattering matrix,appropriate to the required insertion loss function between frequency variable resistances,to some real positive constants. Upon synthesis of this renormalized scattering matrix and replacement of the constant terminations by frequency variable terminations,the originally assigned amplitude frequency characteristics results. The technique is illustrated by designing a wideband equiripple TEM line filter operating between two waveguide systems. (Author)
