The U. S. Army Mobility Equipment Research and Development Center has sponsored the development of a self-priming,centrifugal pump having a rated capacity of 100gpm at 100feet total dynamic head. The development work was undertaken in response to an Army requirement for a reliable,lightweight pump to be used in air transportable fuel-dispensing systems. (Author)
