摘要

Hydraulic experiments on superelevation in curved trapezoidal channels with supercritical velocities were made to verify theoretical computations and model measurements for superelevation in curved channels. The report presents some of the problems encountered in the study and includes magnitudes of superelevation and flow distrubances along with the development of safe design criteria. The objective was to find criteria that would minimize superelevation, surface waves, and flow oscillations around curves.
