Prototype Lithographic Enlarging Projection Platemaker

The report presents the results of the engineer design tests of the prototype lithographic enlargina platemaking equipment. The unit represents for the first time the ability to expose 25 1/2- by 36-inch conventional diazo presensitized lithographic plates directly to miniaturized material, and it therefore reflects a major breakthrough in U.V. optics. The resulting press plates were successfully processed and printed on an offset lithographic press with excellent results. (Author)
